This policy describes how the OosTracker Android app (“OosTracker”, “we”) collects, uses, and stores information. OosTracker is a training log for martial arts.

Delete your account
In the app, open Settings and tap Delete account. That permanently deletes your account and the data stored with it on our servers (profile, profile picture, gym assignment, visibility settings, friend connections, session log, and BJJ systems). Once your account is deleted, other users can no longer see your profile, gym, or stats. Session photos are stored only on your device; the app removes them from this device when you delete the account. Uninstalling the app or clearing app storage also removes those photos.
Information we collect
When you create an account or use the app, we process:
- Account: email and password, or Google account details needed to sign you in (such as email and name Google provides with the sign-in token).
- Profile: display name, an invite code we generate for your account, and an optional profile picture. If you add a profile picture, the image you choose (taken with the camera or picked from your device) is uploaded to and stored on our servers.
- Visibility settings and friends: your choices about who can see your profile, gym, and stats (“Everyone”, “Friends”, or “Only me”), and your connections with other users as friends.
- Gym: gym name, location, and country if you add or select a gym. A gym becomes visible to other signed-in users after at least two accounts assign it.
- Training logs: session type, date and time, duration, intensity, rounds, techniques, notes, gym text, training-partner names you enter, taps, how the session felt, and competition details you enter.
- BJJ systems: the Brazilian jiu-jitsu systems you create and save in the app (for example, a closed guard system), including the names, descriptions, techniques, and notes you enter. These are stored on our servers under your account.
- Session photos: optional photos you take or pick for a training session. These stay in OosTracker’s private storage on your device. They are not uploaded to our servers. (This is different from your profile picture, which is uploaded.)
- Technical: authentication tokens so you stay signed in, and standard server logs our hosting provider may keep (such as IP address and time) to operate and secure the service.
The app uses the internet to talk to our backend. It uses the camera only if you choose to take a photo (for a session or for your profile picture), and your device’s photo picker only if you choose to pick an existing image.
How we use it
We use this information to provide your account, save and show your training log, BJJ systems, and profile, sign you in with Google if you choose that, show your profile information to other users according to your visibility settings, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data. We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in the app today.
Who processes it
- Supabase hosts authentication, the database (account, profile, gyms, training logs, and BJJ systems), and file storage for profile pictures.
- Google processes sign-in if you tap “Continue with Google”.
What other users can see
You control this in Settings → Visibility. Each of the following can be set separately to Everyone (any signed-in OosTracker user), Friends (only users you are connected with as friends), or Only me:
- Profile: your display name, as shown in the People section.
- Gym: the gym on your profile. If set to Everyone, other people at that gym can find you in People.
- Stats: overview statistics calculated from your training log and shown on your profile.
Your session history (the individual sessions in your training log, including notes, training-partner names, and competition details) and your BJJ systems are not shown to other users. Only the summary statistics you choose to share are visible. If you change a setting to a more restrictive option, other users who had access lose it from that point on, but we cannot control information they have already seen or recorded. On top of that, your profile picture and username will be temporarily exposed to pending friend requests, so users can actually see who they are sending the request to.
Retention
We keep account, profile picture, BJJ system, and training-log data until you delete the account in Settings, or until we shut the service down. If you replace or remove your profile picture, or delete a BJJ system, we delete it from our servers. Session photos remain on the device until you delete the account in the app, remove them from a session, uninstall, or clear storage. If you email us to delete an account you can no longer open, we may keep a limited record of that request (for example the email and date) for security or legal reasons.
Your choices
- You can edit your display name, profile picture, and gym in the app.
- You can change who can see your profile, gym, and stats at any time in Settings.
- You can remove your profile picture, edit or delete a BJJ system, remove a session photo, or delete a session in the app.
- You can sign out in Settings.
- You can delete your account and server data in Settings.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you may also have rights to access, correct, or export personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact us to use those rights.
Security
Production traffic uses HTTPS. Access to training data on our servers is limited to your signed-in account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and change the date at the top. Continued use of the app after an update means you are using the app under the revised policy.
